She is on the Board of Governors of the We Are Family Foundation

also board member of the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies.

She is also the first-ever ambassador for the New York Public Library system

She hosted Lip Service and The Morning After with Angela Yee on Eminem's radio station, Shade 45, at Sirius Satellite Radio

In December 2010, Yee left Shade 45 and began hosting The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club's weekday show began national syndication in August 2013
