Angela Yee, co-host of “The Breakfast Club,” has announced that she will be leaving the show after nearly 12 years

host her own upcoming program with iHeartRadio, the same network that produces The Breakfast Club.

Co-host Angela Yee tweeted Tuesday night that the radio show "as you know it is officially over."

During Wednesday's show, Yee clarified that she is leaving the show, but

co-hosts Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy will continue on without her.

Yee will instead focus on her own show on the radio network, she said, calling it a "tremendous opportunity."
