Steve Harvey was born on January 17, 1957, in Welch, West Virginia.

 He is the youngest of five children and was raised by his mother and father.

 Harvey's family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, when he was young.

He attended Kent State University but left before graduating to pursue a career in comedy.

 Harvey began performing stand-up comedy in 1985 and eventually landed a role on the TV series "Me and the Boys."

 In 1996, he landed his own TV show, "The Steve Harvey Show," which ran for six seasons.

 Harvey is also an accomplished author, having written several best-selling books on relationships and self-improvement.

He has been married three times and has seven children.

 Harvey is now a prominent TV personality and hosts a variety of shows, including "Family Feud" and "Steve Harvey's Funderdome."
